FAQs

  • Permanent jewellery is a necklace, anklet, or (most commonly) a bracelet that doesn't have a typical clasp for easy removal. Instead, the ends of a custom-fit chain are welded or “zapped” together — with the intention of never taking it off. Whether you’re paying tribute to a milestone in your life, matching with your besties or just simply love having a little sparkle, the permanent jewellery experience is a fun date idea to be enjoyed either solo or with your loved ones!

  • The weld is safe and entirely painless - think of it like a little spark. There is no contact between the jewellery and your skin, the stylus fuses the chain together, and will only work on metal!

  • Our permanent jewellery is minimal yet durable, and designed to last. If you need to take your chain off for any reason, simply cut the ring where it was originally welded using scissors or nail clippers. You can bring it back at any time and have it re-welded it for a fee. We’ll walk you through this at your appointment!

  • Each appointment lasts typically 15 minutes per person to ensure comfortable sizing, but the welding is done in seconds right before your eyes.

  • Yes! Permanent jewellery is designed to last and is safe for even the most sensitive skin. Considering your chain is worn 24/7, don’t be surprised if it tarnishes slightly over time. Since you can't remove your permanent jewellery, simply rub the chain with a soft polishing cloth, or use a soft toothbrush and a gentle dish soap to polish it like new. Don't forget to rinse and dry it afterwards!

  • If you’re hesitant to commit (but want in on the action), you can opt for a custom-fit bracelet or anklet with a clasp for removal.

  • Come one, come all. Permanent jewellery is ageless and genderless. Quaintrelle offers a safe and inclusive space where everyone is welcome!

Children 12 and under are able to get permanent jewellery with their guardian's consent, but please keep in mind this is a fine piece of jewellery that may not be strong enough to withstand play.

  • We pride ourselves in being your trusted jeweller, and we only offer high-quality metals (sterling silver & solid gold) for our permanent jewellery. You may have heard terms like vermeil, plated or nickel - we don’t offer these materials as they may cause skin irritation and are not suitable for the longevity permanent jewellery requires.
